Introduction

International Novel Writing year is about Doing The Work. It's about putting words on paper on a regular basis and enjoying the results. It's about showing how constant effort can really pay off.

The core idea of International Novel Writing Year is that writing a 50,000 word novel in a year is rather easy, provided you can Do The Work.

The goal is 200 words a day. Not only is that a laughably small goal when you think about it, but that also allows you to finish with 115 days to spare. Take them all off at once, scatter them throughout your year, do with them what you wish.

This blog is currently the only online presence for International Novel Writing Year or INoWriteYea as I like to refer to it. I'm hoping to expand it into a proper website as a place to discuss and share your experiences with the year. You can start your year whenever you wish, but there will be an official launch of the 'event' at some point in the future.
